At Lauren Concrete our Mission is to deliver a World Class experience to our customers, employees, and the communities we serve. As part of this mission, we felt it was important to cultivate opportunities for employees to give back to causes close to their hearts, both monetarily and voluntarily. So it started by creating an employee-run committee for each business unit – west, central and east – dedicated to representing their fellow employees and deciding on a charity to get behind in their area in 2022.
Based on employee feedback the following charities were chosen for the Lauren Gives Back Campaign 2022: Foster Angels of Central Texas (Central), Miracle Farm (East) and The Helping Center of Marble Falls (West).

How Do Employees Get Involved?
We are providing pledge cards for each Lauren Concrete employee to give as they feel led – in the form of an automatic payroll de-duction – to the charity chosen for their business unit in 2022. There is no obligation to give monetarily, however, we strongly encourage each of our Lauren team members to consider giving, even if it’s just one dollar. If you did not receive a pledge card at the Christmas parties and would like to donate, please contact your supervisor.
Volunteer opportunities will also be communicated within each business unit for employees to volunteer their time and talents as schedules allow. We highly encourage volunteer participation as well and hope that you will consider making it a group outing with your peers and work on another important Lauren Concrete Core Value – Teamwork.

Our Goal
By the end of 2022 we hope to have some stories to share and evidence of the impact we made on the lives of the people who depend on these charities every day. Our goal is to provide all of the tools and opportunities necessary for Lauren Concrete employees to be involved in helping us deliver a World Class experience to the communities we serve. In turn we believe our company as a whole will be better for it. Afterall, if the only thing we do is deliver concrete, then we are not the World Class company we say we are.
