This year, Lauren Concrete received 14 SHARP Awards at 14 out of 22 concrete plants – an achievement that is rarely seen in the industry.
Background
The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) was created by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to recognize businesses that maintain high safety standards. For the past 10 years Lauren Concrete has invited OSHCON safety consultant experts to review their facilities, operations, and policies to offer recommendations and, if needed, create actionable steps to work on areas of safety that require improvement. Once these extensive reviews are completed at every concrete plant, there is an opportunity to win an award for outstanding results – the SHARP Award.
