Safety is very important to the success of Lauren Concrete. It is our first Core Value and it is important to live it every day. Lauren Concrete spends a lot of time, resources, and money to ensure our drivers are safe on the road.
In addition, Lauren Concrete invests time, resources, and money to ensure we have safe facilities for our employees and visitors. An important ingredient to help provide safe working facilities is to invite OSHCON (OSHA Safety Consultants) from the State of Texas to visit our facilities every year.
In April 2023, Lauren Concrete hosted the OSHCON group, and they reviewed our safety policies, interviewed many people, and conducted site visits to all our plant locations. The consultants said that Lauren Concrete has made noticeable and significant improvements over the prior year and our plant locations all look exceptionally good. Congratulations to Team Lauren. I thank every one of you for making Lauren Concrete a safe place to work.
Lauren Concrete won 16 Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) awards this year. This is four times more than last year.
